I also cannot believe how much preparation still needs to occur. Pretty much everything. Though her room is painted, I really won't even jump start decorating until we move the crib furniture over from Meadow's room. And since Meadow's big girl furniture is not arriving until early February, well, that project is simply on hold. As for the rest of the list (I might as well make the "to do" list here since I need to make one anyway):
Car seats/stroller need to be cleaned and installed
Wash and organize newborn wear, pacifiers, blankets, etc
Pack hospital bags
Buy more newborn mittens (they were a must with Meadow)
In the meantime, we are enjoying these last few weeks with the big sister to be. She is such a little doll, and I am so excited to see her with our new baby girl.
(32 weeks)
We had Meadow's parent teacher conference recently, and her report was just great. She's either at or above 2 year old skills, so that is comforting since she is about to take on a big role as a big sister, and I will need her help. I'll share more details later on her school report, but for now, she is still a major lover of art and is quite a talker.
Here is my first baby, not so much a baby anymore of course....
(34 weeks)
And she loves wearing her daddy's running shorts around as a dress, one of her favorites (I had clipped them in the back to stay up)
Love this picture, she's looking at our hospital picture from the day we brought her home. Is the timing of this picture coincidental or what?
And we will be bringing our second baby home in less than three weeks! Oh I cannot wait to meet this little princess!

I'm so exciting for your growing family! I can't wait to see pictures of the new baby girl!
ReplyDeleteI love that last picture of Meadow! So sweet in her evening gown! :)
